During morning tea we were alerted by jackal alarm calls. So we finished up our porridge and headed out. After awhile we came across 2 lionesses, one being very pregnant. While scanning the surroundings, Siya the tracker spotted a cheetah on top of one of the hills. All you could see was the silhouette of its form. As we approached we saw 2 male cheetah with their heads in a wildebeest carcass. One of the males being very large and covered in blood. We headed out this morning with high hopes of finding some of Ngala’s big cats. Many leopard tracks had been seen the previous day but nobody managed to locate these elusive and secretive cats. It was a spectacular evening when we spotted the lion cubs sitting on the rocks at the old camp clearing.The adults were hiding behind the rocks.Suddenly the Warthogs appeared from nowhere and the cubs came down the rocks and started chasing the warthogs.It seemed the warthogs were too fast for them and they came back to the same area climbed a tree and ... Two camera men, two photographers, me and my tracker set off on a generally unpleasant afternoon to see what we could find.
