Rangers at CC Africa's Exeter Private Game Reserve have made a rare and exciting sighting: a Lesser Jacana, spotted towards the end of December 2006. Very few sightings of this species have been recorded in the Kruger National Park area - or the entire Mpumalanga province for that matter! It is highly unusual for Lesser Jacanas to cross the Lebombo Mountains from the coastal plains. Well spotted!
