Name: Chandravijay Hada Nickname: Hada Country: India
Profile: Since childhood I have had a liking for nature, probably because I was born and brought up in village close to Ranthambore National Park. But when I was young, I had no idea that I would become a naturalist. I was fortunate enough to study at a very popular school and was good at cricket. I wanted to become a cricketer but later I developed an interest in painting and took art as a subject. At college I studied history and wanted to be a historian. However, after much dilly-dallying, it was my interest in nature that reigned supreme and I decided to make this my life and career. Now, as a naturalist, I am a painter (painting animals and birds), a historian (visiting temples and forts), a photographer, etc. I love the diversity of my job. Every day is new for me and most tasks require me to be creative, which I enjoy.
