Profile: The majority of my life I have lived on a farm in the Great Karoo where my passion as a naturalist started. From a young age I enjoyed observing all aspects of nature including birds, frogs, small and large mammals, reptiles, trees and flowers. After school I studied a bachelor of commerce in management through the University of South Africa. I have been working as a guide for CCAfrica in Phinda since 2002 and have been training rangers since 2004. Part of this training has included time training Rangers in East Africa. I was Head Ranger at Phinda Mountain and Phinda Rock Lodge for two and a half years and am now enjoying my career as a Specialist Ranger. I enjoy traveling and learning about the worlds natural wonders. I have been fortunate in that I have traveled Africa and a little of Europe and have learnt a great a lot in various countries. I enjoy finding rare Fauna and Flora as well as photographing them.
