I was born in JHB in 1984, and educated at King Edward VII. It was while I was studying at The Rand Afrikaans University that I decided to pursue my passion for the bush, which stemmed from a very young age with family holidays to the Kruger National Park and to Botswana.  In 2005 I enrolled in a Game Lodge Management & Field-Guiding Course with The Bush Academy Institute. After graduating top of my class, I was fortunate enough to be placed in South Africa's elite Sabi Sands Game Reserve, where I underwent a 6-month practical. Thereafter I was offered a permanent position at the established Kirkmans Kamp. This pristine area has allowed me to pursue my passion for photography, birding and especially reptiles where I am actively involved in capturing and tagging pythons for research purposes.
