Profile: Emme Daniel has been a guide for &Beyond since 2006. He grew up in a very remote village that was rich in wildlife, located south east of Ngorongoro the highlands in a region inhabited by different tribes, including Bushmen. This is where Emme developed his interest in and passion for nature. He went on to study nature conservation and management, game ranging and all aspects of guiding, first at Transworld Wildlife College in Arusha and then at the &Beyond Mwewe Ranger Training course in the Serengeti.
In 2006 Emme started guiding at &Beyond Serengeti Under Canvas, a mobile camp that follow the movements of the wildebeest migration. In 2008 he moved to &Beyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge, where he is based at the moment. Emme is an excellent guide, who is very creative, and always goes out of his way to make sure he meets and exceeds his guests’ requests. His endless smile, sense of humour and knowledge ensure that his guests ask for him by name each time they return. Emme enjoys all kinds of wildlife, particularly birds and mammals. He also loves to photograph wildlife and to contribute photos and sightings to WILDwatch
