Guide's Biography

Erasto Gurty
Name:        Erasto Gurty

Country:     Tanzania, United Republic Of

Profile:

I was born and raised on the base of Ngorongoro Crater.  This is where my love for nature began.  When I was young, I was always in the bush looking after cattle, sheep and goats.

I completed high school in 1999 and in the same year I was employed at Tarangire Safari Lodge and specialized in preparing cocktails.

In 2001 I joined the college of African Wildlife management - MWEKA for a diploma course and completed it in 2003.

After that, I worked as a guide and then I joined Mwewe training school in 2005 and qualified as a &BEYONDn guide and went to Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp for 3 years and became assistant head ranger.

I then moved to Klein's Camp in December 2007 where I am currently head ranger.

I like birding, walking and I'm currently doing a lion and leopard project.

Karibu Klein's Camp!
