Joseph Kayombo grew up on a farm in Arusha very close to the Arusha National Park. During school, he visited many protected areas around Tanzania. After completing secondary school he attended a course in Hotel and Management in Arusha Tropical Centre.

Joseph joined the &Beyond family in 2006 as a butler, where he worked for four years at the mobile camp, Serengeti Under Canvas. His passion for wildlife and dreams of becoming a guide were realised when he was selected to join Mwewe Ranger Training School. Now he is working at Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp as a ranger.

He also loves to photograph wildlife, as well as contributing photos and sightings to the Wildwatch site.
