Guide's Biography

Karipoi Ngaiseri
Name:        Karipoi Ngaiseri

Country:     Tanzania, United Republic Of

Profile: Karipoi was born in Ololosokwan (community near Kleins Camp) in 1982 and completed his primary school near home. He didn’t attend secondary school as he had to look after his father’s cattle.

He has been working for &Beyond Kleins Camp since 2000 where he started as a staff chef in the canteen and later joined the habitat department in 2003. In 2005 he spread his wings and became a tracker at Kleins Camp and took over as head tracker soon after that.

He has lived in the bush his whole life and has always wanted to full his dream of becoming a ranger. He has gained lots of knowledge about animals and their behavior from spending time in the bush and this is what he enjoys the most.

Karipoi is working at Serengeti Under Canvas and would one day like to move back to Kleins Camp as this is his back garden.
