Profile: I was born in Cape Town and raised in the North West Province of South Africa in a small town called Mafikeng. I grew up with the freedom to explore the bush on my bicycle close to home. It was then and there that my passion for the bush originated, and led to me studying a BSC in Zoology with courses in Ecology and Botany at the University of Cape Town. It was when a field guide trainer came to talk to prospective graduates that I knew straight away this was what I wanted to do. After completing the Inkwazi Course at Phinda, I was really happy and fortunate to have been placed in the Sabi Sands Game reserve at Kirkmans Kamp where I am a keen birder and really enjoy my trees and mammals.
