Guide's Biography

Segopotso Boitumelo
Name:        Segopotso Boitumelo

Nickname: Sage

Country:     Botswana

Profile:

More commonly known as Sage, I was born and bred in Shorobe, just outside of Maun in Botswana around three decades ago. After I finished my primary and secondary education in Shorobe, I completed my first year BSC in Science at the University of Botswana. Wildlife interests have always run through my family. My father is a ranger in Moremi Game Reserve and it was through my visits into Moremi that I culvated a fierce wildlife passion. I started at Sandibe in July 2000 and then gradually rose through the ranks to become a senior guide in 2005. In 2006, I became the head ranger at Sandibe. I am an avid bird watcher with great passion and I am actively involved in astronomy. My other interests include walking and spearheading green team initiatives at the lodge
