Profile:
I was born and raised in a small township which is few kilometres out of the Arusha main town. Living in the countryside at a young age made me aware of my environment and nature and this helped me to make my mind about becoming a naturalist. I did a Guiding course in Arusha and then I attended CC Africa rangers' school at Klein's Camp before joining CC Africa as a ranger in the year 1999 and I was posted to Maji Moto Tented Camp (now Lake Manyara Tree Lodge) where I worked for 2 years and then I was transferred to Grumeti River Camp, Serengeti to get more field exposure and I was based there for another 2 years. I have been guiding here at the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge since the year 2003 till now. And I am the lodge's Head Ranger now and I quite enjoy this challenge as it involves me in some administration and management duties as well. I had an opportunity to attend the Fundamentals of Ornithology Certificate course in Elsamere Kenya and I did a project on Grumeti's Nesting Birds of prey in 2002. So far I have had opportunities to visit the CC Africa lodges in Kenya and some in South Africa. I enjoy watching big mammals as well the birds. And on my free time I love to travel and reading books of all sorts of topics.
