About &Beyond's guides

Each guide undergoes a rigorous six-week training course at &Beyond's Inkwazi (Phinda, South Africa) or Mwewe (Klein's Camp, East Africa) Ranger Training Schools before joining a team at one of &Beyond's 40 safari lodges or Under Canvas mobile safari circuits. They then receive further on-site training and benefit immensely from their colleagues' ongoing mentorship.

Our guides are also constantly encouraged to contribute their wildlife observations, field project reports and photographs to this website, as well as the published Wildwatch Annual.
