5 mouths to feed
while out on drive one morning, my guests and i were discussing what they would like to try find. While discussing this, another ranger had found the female cheetah and her 5 cubs. We decided to go and see her. We eventually got to where she was and proceeded to follow her and the cubs. After following for a while, she eventually was by herself and left the cubs behind, knowing that she left the cubs behind we knew she was on the hunt. following her a little bit longer and giving her some space, she bolted off and she ran behind some aloes, my guests could see her and they said that she had caught something. I asked if they could see what she had killed, but they they couldn't. A second later she reappeared as asked and she came trotting out of the aloes very proudly with a female steenbuck in her mouth. She eventually reached her cubs and dropped it and the cubs frantically started eating, while she rested a bit. Once she had recooperated she started feeding herself. She's got her paws full, cause as they get older the more of a demand they'll put on her for food.
