Sheltering below the plunging walls of the Great Rift Valley lies the quintessentially serene Lake Manyara Tented Camp, tucked in an evergreen forest on bird-rich Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara National Park is where Ernest Hemingway camped on the hunting safari that inspired his book, Green Hills of Africa.

A Bull Fight.

We were driving through the forest when we saw a huge cloud of dust. Through the dust we saw these two bull elephants fighting and started snapping away. They carried on fighting for about ten minutes, crashing their tusks and using all their energy that they had. Unfortunately, they moved into the thick bush where we could not see them anymore, so we dont know the outcome. Elephant sightings at Lake Manyara are always incredible to watch.
