In the heart of Maasai territory on the north-eastern boundary of the Serengeti National Park is a private concession of 10 000 hectares, set aside for the exclusive use of Klein's Camp's 20 guests. The spectacular location of the camp on the edge of the Kuka Hills commands sweeping views across a broad valley through which the annual great migration passes.
A day to remember!
This was a really day to remember... we conducted a morning drive to the airstrip with four guests. Our aim was to see a cheetah and if possible a kill. On the way we saw many animals. As we approched close to the airstrip we stopped and scan around to see if there was cheetah. Fortunately about 50metres south of the airstrip were two cheetahs. These were brothers that we always see them around the airstrip. There was some wildebeests around looking at these males cheetah they were hungry. I knew that they are going to hunt and our dream will turn into reality in a few minutes to come. Then one of the initiated to stalk. The other one was still looking. I told my guests that let's wait and we will see a kill. Within a ten minutes they started chasing a juvenile wildebeest and caught... It was unbelivable watching the whole action.. They dragged the gnu near the dead/broken tree and started eating before other predators notice them. It can't get better than this..
