A Long Walk Home

A large green turtle came to lay her eggs this morning but unfortunately had left it quite late. By 9.30 she was still walking back to the water as the tide had gone out. We were able to tag her and measured her carapace as being 1.09m long and 0.99m. It is unusual to be able to see this magnificent journey during daylight. An unreal sight, hopefully she'll be back to lay again in a couple of weeks.
