Sheltering below the plunging walls of the Great Rift Valley lies the quintessentially serene Lake Manyara Tented Camp, tucked in an evergreen forest on bird-rich Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara National Park is where Ernest Hemingway camped on the hunting safari that inspired his book, Green Hills of Africa.
A Pride of Lions at the Lodge:
This evening around 16.00 one of the butlers Donald called the security guides quickly to check the path carefully before walking the guests again to their room after himself and the guests spotted a lions crossing the path. We realize is the pride that the male was roaring last night. Sometime they take a shortcut across the lodge to the other side since there is no fance and they are not disturbed. It is so great to see these animals as sometime they can real disappear. Also we always ensure safety is paramount for everyone.
