A Rare Sight at &Beyond Ngala
We have waited six long years for one of the African wild dog packs in the area to settle down and breed on &Beyond Ngala Private Game Reserve. From time to time, these dogs have been seen hunting on Ngala, however, now they have chosen an enormous termite mound on our land as a temporary home. The adults of the pack are being seen almost every day, and for those who are lucky enough to see them, the litter of 15 or 16 little pups is quite a sight!
What a rare opportunity to see these adults hunting impalas along the Timbavati River and witness the fascinating family interaction at the den site. The pups are already venturing out of the den and fairly soon they should be joining the adults as they hunt. The Ngala rangers and trackers estimate that the den site could be active for another two to three weeks. What a great time to visit Ngala!

15 pups is fantastic, great news. How many adults in the pack? We are visiting Ngala in 5 weeks.I suppose our chances to see them are very low, but we are very excited about our 3 day visit. Thanks.
