AFRICAN BARRED OWLET'S
Anybody who visits Xudum in the next couple of months should keep an eye out for a pair of African Barred Owlet's that seem to be living near room 8. During my stay I often heard and admired the pair but it was on the last day that I managed to photograph one of them. It was so relaxed, sitting low in a tree, allowing me to stand within 5 metres of it. I also took a few interesting shots of the Painted Reed Frog in different forms of colouration while enjoying the calm ride on the mokoro one afternoon.
