Sheltering below the plunging walls of the Great Rift Valley lies the quintessentially serene Lake Manyara Tented Camp, tucked in an evergreen forest on bird-rich Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara National Park is where Ernest Hemingway camped on the hunting safari that inspired his book, Green Hills of Africa.
Amazing Blue Monkey and Baboon behaviour
This is one of the strangest behaviour We have seen between these two Primates. I was driving from Mto wa Mbu Village to Lake Manyara Tree Lodge with Hamadi(Chef). As We entered the Park gate We were amazed by a big male Blue Monkey grooming a female Olive baboon that was laying on its back right in the middle of the road. Unfortunately as I was pulling my camera out they run on opposite direction off the road.While I was doing my project on Olive Baboons in Manyara in the last 7 years ago, I saw baby baboon and blue Monkeys playing by holding tails.This made me curious to start spending more time with them for further strange behaviours if this interest you.
