Kirkman's Kamp
Kirkman's Kamp, with its spectacular views of the unspoilt wilderness and the Sabi Sand River, is regarded as one of the best loved lodges in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. A well known historic camp, originally built in the early 1920's Kirkmans Kamp celebrates the atmosphere of an early South African lowveld homestead.

Awesome surprise
Everything on the reserve was still wet after last nights rain when we came across a little animal that was foraging in the high grass. As we looked at it carefully we identified it as a honey badger. Wow. He came out of the long grass into short grass smelling around and foraging for something. He was wet and the top white stripe was dark with mud ftom the rain. This honey badger was relaxed and posed for us for a cupple of minutes before slowly moving of into the shrub with a proud trot.
It was the first honey badger sighting in a long time at Kirkmans
