BOOMSLANG LOOKS FOR A MEAL
I saw this boomslang being mobbed by a pair of lilac breasted rollers near the top of a wooden telephone pole. The rollers had used a cavity in the pole as a nest and the snake obviously fancied an easy meal. The rollers ferociously defended their nest, bombing and diving at the snake, until he gave up.
Wonderful photo Dylan! - I wonder if he ventured back again for his meal? Would the snake eat bird eggs and the chicks?

Thanks Dana. We've got a resident boomslang around camp, so it's quite possible that this is him and he"ll be around again. As for a meal, he'll go after birds and hachlings, but not so sure about eggs.
