Whilst it is true that cheetahs are generally elusive and therefore hard to find the rangers at Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge knows where to go and look for them. More often than not the search will pay off.

In the Sandibe area it is necessary to secure a meal to ensure you don't lose it - as competition is rife amongst predators. It has been an amazing time for leopards in the recent past at Sandibe, as we've seen a number of this kind of sightings.

We have be blessed with sightings of different prides of lions around the Chitabe airstrip at Sandibe, for nearly a month now. The one pride has be restricted to that area because of a very young cub, which got introduced to the family not too long ago. See picture of the new release wrestling with the mum.

It was more of a cultural show as there was a lot of traditional dancing and singing by the Nxabega staff and management. The previous airstrip wasn't used for a long time as it's always inundated with...

We started off as early as possible on our morning game drive. We had seen two lions and a lioness the night before and interestingly the dominant male took the lioness behind the bushes and got to see the reaction of the subordinate male, he did not follow them so it was showing that he knew what was going to happen, mating time. As we left to check...

As we headed out on our early morning game drive we watched the sun rising through the mist hanging between the Jackalberry and Palm trees. We crossed over a deep channel, enough to get your feet wet and onto an island that held many surprises and awesome sightings! We found lion tracks, heard monkeys and baboons alarm calling, we even found a Spotted...
