Bowling for buzzards!!!
Vultures and lions are not always the best of friends; in fact you could say that they really despise each other. Vultures have to wait painstakingly for a chance to feed on a big carcass, and the sight of hundreds of vultures in trees around a large carcass is not uncommon. This is compounded by the fact that lions will hog the carcass until they are absolutely satisfied. So when the vultures finally think they are getting their long awaited meal, lions often have a little fun and and proceed to rush in and chase the very clumsy birds away. With hate in her eyes, we saw this spectacle go on for half an hour on a rhino carcass, when an adult lioness just would not give up!! Back and forth she went, until finally she got bored and the ravenous vultures came and had there long awaited feast!!
