Kirkman's Kamp
Kirkman's Kamp, with its spectacular views of the unspoilt wilderness and the Sabi Sand River, is regarded as one of the best loved lodges in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. A well known historic camp, originally built in the early 1920's Kirkmans Kamp celebrates the atmosphere of an early South African lowveld homestead.

Charleston Females plan offspring
Lions back!!!! This morning we found four females and one male lion after a struggle to find lions at all in the last days. We watched them for a while, the male with full belly, just sleeping. We were about to leave as suddenly the oldest female got up and circled around the young male. He wasn’t very interested first, but eventually he gave up his snooze and the two started mating right next to our vehicle. A growl and a soft slap from the female later the male demounted and fell straight back to sleep.
This particular pride of lions has been seen at Kirkman’s Kamp quite frequently over the last couple of month. The Kirkman’s Ranger Team hopes for offspring, soon…
