Crash of 9

The afternoon was cooling and the sun was just starting to set, as we drove along looking for an ideal spot for sundowners. We approached a clearing and in the distance a few rhino heads became visible, but what awaited us as we got nearer was quite impressive. A crash of 4 white rhinos, grazed away at the short grass approaching the vehicle; as we sat there watching them feed and communicate in heavy breaths. From the far end of the clearings another crash appeared, and the 4 were joined by another 5 rhinos. The crash of 9 now, made their acquaintances, sniffing and nuzzling, and even sportingly posed altogether for a photograph. With the light fading we decide to leave the rhinos, but as we drove off all 9 of them followed the vehicle down the road. With the rhinos behind us, we found a new spot for sundowners and enjoyed the last of the afternoon.
