Cubs Update
Just a quick update for anyone that might be interested. I will warn you that the news is not great. The young little lion cub that was with the Ximungwe pride went missing a few weeks ago and has not been seen again. We are very sure that it has died. We are not sure wat happened but assume that Hyena's could have got hold if it. The leopardess in the South who we call the Mambhirri female has a little cub which is still alive and well and was seen this morining again in the South. The Shangwa female leopard and her cub are still around and the cub is alive and well. I have attached a photo of the cub which I took a few days ago right outside Exeter River Lodge. We know that a few of the Ximungwe Pride females could be pregnant and we are eagerly waiting to see what is going to happen. I will keep you all posted.
I sorry to hear that the little one probably died. It's a rough life out there for al the young cats. Hope this little leopard fairs better. The posting on leopards recently on this website have been great!
