The wild dogs have been around again for the last few days. This time only four dogs from the original pack or 22 have been running around the Kirkmans area. This morning was exceptional as I was still on my way to work I came across four dogs running along in the road. I quickly left the dogs to and fetch my guests from the lodge. When we returned to the...

It was early morning when we came across fresh tracks of a pack of wild dogs heading north along the road. We follwed the tracks for a while finding fresh dung and smells along the way. We turned the corner to find that the dogs had just caught an impala lamb and 14 dogs finshed it in no time.

The giraffe was first noticed on the 12th of November with no wounds on the body and no predators in sight. Cause of the death was unsure.
The first to arrive at the scene the next morning was a single hyena. He was very nervous and I am sure could not believe his luck that he had a fully grown male giraffe to himself. He left and then two hours later...
