EAGLES ALL OVER SAVUTE
Early in the morning Chief (Expedition guide) and myself left Expedition Savute Camp to head home towards Maun. The migrating herd of about 40 zebras was stunningly beautiful and worth stopping for to watch them pass, but my absolute favourite through the whole drive were the birds of prey we saw all along the road through the Marshes. I counted 7 Bateleurs, 5 Tawny Eagles and 1 amazing and might I say rare...Marshal Eagle taking off for flight! It's been a while since I have seen one, so this was almost like opening a Christmas present. Thank you Chief for driving us safefully through the deep muddy puddles while keeping an eye on the wildlife! Photograph: Savute sunset
