Lake Manyara
Sheltering below the plunging walls of the Great Rift Valley lies the quintessentially serene Lake Manyara Tented Camp, tucked in an evergreen forest on bird-rich Lake Manyara. Lake Manyara National Park is where Ernest Hemingway camped on the hunting safari that inspired his book, Green Hills of Africa. |
Female Cheetah
After a few months of disappearance the resident female Cheetah is back at Lake Manyara National Park. Making my way back from the airstrip after picking up some guests I saw the lone cheetah walking slowly on the lakeshore near the Minor Hot springs. The same animal was seen later by other guides that evening still strolling around the same area. Maybe she decided to permanently move her residence from Tarangire to Manyara.
