Kirkman's Kamp
Kirkman's Kamp, with its spectacular views of the unspoilt wilderness and the Sabi Sand River, is regarded as one of the best loved lodges in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. A well known historic camp, originally built in the early 1920's Kirkmans Kamp celebrates the atmosphere of an early South African lowveld homestead.

Fight for love
A few days ago, i described, as we found a male leopard and a female together. The female started to aproach the male and was than attacked and treed. For the last two days we have been seing male and female tracks together, but no sign of the leopards. Today, finaly on the fourth day, they where spotted, and mating. We made our way in to the area and saw them in the reeds, mating every few minutes. It was exciting to finally see that the female leopard has managed to aproach the male without him attacking her. I was amazed at the persistancy of the female leopard, and that she did not give up even though she was attacked so badly by the male a few days earlier.
