Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is perched on the edge of the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater at the eastern edge of the Serengeti in northern Tanzania. It lies within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which covers more than 8 000 square kilometres (3 100 square miles) of pristine African wilderness.

Everyone in the jeep was enjoying the sighting of Elephant arround Lerai picnic site, I was looking around trying to see if I would come across any other interesting sighting. About 15 metres from where we were, I saw a woodpecker [Female] which was busy pekking in a fallen dried log and was coming up with Lavas, feeding it's Chick.
Chick was also trying to peck [Imitating from it's mom] but most of time in vain!!!
