Goshawks battle for kill
A pale chanting goshawk had successfully killed a rodent and had started to feed. Within a short time, a second goshawk arrived on the scene and attempted to steal the kill. We watched the two birds fight it out until the opportunistic second bird made a hasty retreat carrying the mangled remains. Great viewing - although goshawks are commonly seen at Kwandwe, a tussle like this was a rare treat.
