GREATER SNIPES FIND A HOME AT NXABEGA
We have been having amazing sightings of Greater Snipes here at Nxabega. There is a small pan about five minutes drive from the lodge where we shoot off to, to get a look at these interesting birds using their long bills to probe into the soft mud looking for larve and bugs. On one occassion we managed to see four of the birds at once. They often feed along with other wadder species and you need to be alert to spot them out. The birding at the pans this year had been exceptionaly great!
