Hippo Honeymoon
It was during the morning game drive near the Kichwa Tembo airstrip that we spotted two hippos from a distant. We drove closer and found that they were in an aggressive mood. One started running away but the other kept blocking the way. Finally they confronted each other, and we say it was a female and male. The female lay down and male mounted her back and they started to mate on open land. Hippos can therefore easily mate outside of the water.
