HYENAS VS. JACKALS

Amazing - on my way to pompom airstrip for the drop off, I saw two hyenas along the road moving, but showing no signs of hunger. As IA looked on the other side there were five jackals in the shade of an open area. The hyenas saw them.

The jackals had four young ones which were about one year old. The chasing was started by the hyenas. The baby jackals were not fast enough to outrun them and one young jackal was caught by a hyena. The mother jackal tried to defend it but it did not help.These hyenas did not share their meal, and went off into the thickets for a rest.
