In-flight meals

We were preparing to stop for sundowners at Double Dam when Sakhe noticed a pair of martial eagles circling the euphorbias in the valley. On closer inspection one of the raptors appeared to be carrying something in its talons. In the late afternoon light we were able to have a closer look, and saw the carcass of a helmeted guineafowl dangling below the raptor's body. They continued their flight for another twenty minutes or so before disappearing from our view.
