Ngorongoro Crater Lodge is perched on the edge of the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater at the eastern edge of the Serengeti in northern Tanzania. It lies within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which covers more than 8 000 square kilometres (3 100 square miles) of pristine African wilderness.
IS IT ENOUGH FOR ALL?
We were enjoying our morning game drive in the crater when we saw lots of wildebeest on the way, going towards Magadi Lake where you can see flamingos. We saw more than ten hyena laying down as well. We continued looking. Suddenly one hyena from the other side came and starting chasing the wildebeest. It was amazing to all as the other hyena followed with the chase. Suddenly more hyena came from different areas and made a lot of noise with their tails up.
We continued looking and the funny thing is the way those hyena seemed to get confused as to which one to kill. But after some time they managed to get one wildebeest, and more hyena came. So we counted them. There were more then fifty hyena, but the food was not enough. So they killed two more wildebeest. It's nice to watch the way they hunt.
