Klein's Camp
In the heart of Maasai territory on the north-eastern boundary of the Serengeti National Park is a private concession of 10 000 hectares, set aside for the exclusive use of Klein's Camp's 20 guests. The spectacular location of the camp on the edge of the Kuka Hills commands sweeping views across a broad valley through which the annual great migration passes.

While we were out on drive, I noticed a giraffe looking at something in the bush with great interest. Unfortunately we could not see what it was looking at. We decided to go on with the drive and on our way back, there it was, a Cheetah that had killed a Grey Duiker. Im sure if we had been more patient, we might have seen the kill happen. Well, thats...

While we were driving through the open plains of the Klein's wildlife area, we came accross this lone zebra passing through. It is quite strange to see a zebra by itself as they are generally gregarious but it was even more strange to see as the migration of zebra is in the middle of the Serengetti at the moment. We have not seen Zebras for a while now.

Tree Hyraxes are a common sighting at Klein's camp like this one that was relaxing in the fork of a tree. As I got closer to take the photo, it just watched me with great interest.

Flap necked Chameleons are one of my favourites to photograph. I came accross this one and took some photos of it. It stayed very still and Im sure it thought that if it did so, we would not see it. Well, the chamourfage is amazing!

One thing we see a lot of at Kleins Camp is amazing birds including lots of raptors and vultures. We often see them soaring in the thermals on game drive like this White Headed vulture.

During our recent stay at Klein's Camp, our askari spotted two chameleons in a tree on our way to dinner - a green one and a smaller brown one. Much to my delight they were still in the tree the next morning and I managed to get a shot of one of them - so pretty!
