Klein's Camp
In the heart of Maasai territory on the north-eastern boundary of the Serengeti National Park is a private concession of 10 000 hectares, set aside for the exclusive use of Klein's Camp's 20 guests. The spectacular location of the camp on the edge of the Kuka Hills commands sweeping views across a broad valley through which the annual great migration passes. |

We have been seeing a lot of Chameleons recently but I never thought that I would be lucky enough to witness this. We watched a Boomslang fighting with a Flap necked Chameleon in a tree and all of a sudden, both of them fell out of the tree and onto the ground. The snake got quite a fright and slithered off into a thicket but then returned. It took the...

We have African Penduline Tits nesting at the moment and they are great to watch. It is really fascinating how they have two entrance holes of which one is a false entrance to confuse potential predators. I aimed my camera at the nest and kept my finger on the shutter and was lucky enough to catch one of the birds in flight while it was exiting the nest.

I have never seen this before and was amazed at how the smaller of the two chameleons was the one that was fighting. It seemed to be his territory and he kept following the bigger...
