As usual, we started the game drive early in the morning and the day was neither cloudy nor very cold. We drove through Grumeti River all the way to Ding'ding. After crossing the river we saw a leopard up in a tree. We looked a little closer and realised that it was one of Moja's daughters. We then spotted three more leopards in the same tree with a...

It has been raining around Klein's Camp quite a bit recently and the drives that we have gone out on have been great due to the huge herds of the wildebeest migration! As a result of the presence of the migration, lion sightings has also been great as they have plenty of food around!

On our morning drive we came across vultures in a tree and went to have a look. We found that two wildebeest had been killed by lions. The lions had, however, already left the place and had eaten only one wildebeest and a small portion of the other. We scanned the area around us and saw two leopards on a termite mound on the other side of the river,...

What a wonderful day! Yet again, we started our game drive a little bit early this morning. We drove along the Grumeti River in search of a leopard. We saw a lot of animals and birds whilst looking for this beautiful animal (leopard). We stopped to cook our breakfast and then later on, on our way back to the lodge, we saw a leopard just below the bar with...

I have never seen so many wildebeest around Klein's Camp before! From the Kuria gate, black rock plain and all the way to the airstrip and the rest of the area, an unbelievable amount of wildebeest can currently be seen. It is just amazing! Lions and leopard have had more than their fair share of these animals. Sometimes they just kill for fun and don't...

I was lucky enough to have birding enthusiasts on my vehicle when we spotted a big bird in a tree. We all focused our binoculars on this bird and realised that it was an egyptian vulture, which is very rare to see. This is only the second time that I have seen one of these birds in the 4 years that I have been guiding.

We were out on a day game drive in the Serengeti National Park when we swere lucky enough to experience a lot of truly great sightings. These included two pairs of lions mating and wildebeest crossing the Mara River. On our way back, we thought that the drive simply could not get any better. We came across this male black rhino in the open grass...

This morning I came across this male pink and blue Agama, also known as a Rock Agama. I noticed that it was thrashing its head from side to side. As I got closer, I noticed that it had something in its mouth. I realised that it had a really large locust in its mouth. I watched for a while as it hit the locust on the ground, killed it and then ate it.

At this time of the year, the migration of the wildebeest is normally in the Masai Mara until around November when they start heading South towards the short grass plains of the Serengeti. However, on this morning's game drive we were amazed to see thousands of Wildebeest in the northern section of the Kleins Camp wildlife area. As far as the eye...

This morning I started my game drive as usual at 06h30. I drove through Buffalo Hill and down the Grumeti river looking for leopard. I believe that the earlier you head out, the better your chances of seeing more animals active. Before I crossed the ivan crossing, Moisanga, my tracker, saw fresh tracks of the leopard. We followed the tracks which...
