Driving from the airstrip to the lodge we came across a huge herd of buffalo at Moporota Crossing. What a wonderful sight to see them all slowly moving across the flood plain and then through the water. There were buffalo on both sides of the road as far as the eye could see! We estimated well over 2000. Two male lions were spotted following the herd,...

It was during our morning game drive today that we saw one of the massive herds of zebras and wildebeest in the mara triangle. The herds are coming back from the northern Serengeti, Tanzania. We estimated at least hundreds of thousands (plenty plus).

It is always nice to watch when animals are in action. Today we were so lucky to see these two zebra males fighting near Silio. The grass was burnt two weeks ago and the new grass emerged as the short rains continued to pour in the area. The migration herds have moved in the area and cats are always on action.

Although it is possible to view lion on the crater floor, it is not possible to see bull buffalo grazing close to the lion The bull was very relaxed and close to two big male lions. This amazing sighting happened yesterday during our normal game drive in the crater floor. This bull buffalo was 10 meters away from these male lions and was very relaxed,...
