Lamb at Dusk
The weather has been terrible here the last few days, with rain and cold winds which has made game viewing quite difficult. So this evenings viewing was quite unexpected! As we left the camp, my colleague Mac radioed me to let me know that he had just found a female leopard with an Impala lamb, the lamb was reportedly still alive. We raced over there as soon as we could and we were amazed to see the female leopard carrying the Impala lamb in its mouth across the road right in front of us. This was amazing! I had never seen this before, so clear and out in the open. Although it was sad to see an Impala lamb dead, we all appreciated the fact that this was nature in its purest form. With all the new born lambs running around as well we knew that it would not be long before this little lamb would be replaced by another in the land of the living.
