Leopard Cubs
What an amazing day. Early this morning, the Shangwa female leopard left her new Impala kill and moved east towards her den site, we knew what was coming next. A few sharp grunts summoned the young cubs from beneath the rocks and we watched in awe as she led the three cubs back towards the kill. It was the first time that I had viewed these tiny cubs in the open as they wondered down the road. The cubs are estimated at being 10 weeks old and testament to this is the amazing “ice-blue” eye-colour. The only thing more excited than the occupants of the vehicles were the three camera’s on board, that shot in-excess of 300 photographs. What an amazing treat for a Saturday afternoon.
