Kirkman's Kamp
Kirkman's Kamp, with its spectacular views of the unspoilt wilderness and the Sabi Sand River, is regarded as one of the best loved lodges in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. A well known historic camp, originally built in the early 1920's Kirkmans Kamp celebrates the atmosphere of an early South African lowveld homestead.

Leopard Mating at Kirkman's Kamp
Nearing the end of a wonderful morning game drive, Steph & Japhet tracked & found a rhino! Whilst enjoying the sighting, to our delight, a male leopard wandered past! What became even more unbelievable was the female who emerged out of the undergrowth with him! Then, before our eyes...a mating! AND, not just once! We were privileged to watch them for nearly an hour as they wandered...mated, courted...mated, relaxed...mated - seemingly totally oblivious to our presence! The time flew as we, in awe and wonder, enjoyed our quiet time with the leopard, thanks to Steph & Japhet...and Kirkman's amazing wildlife!
