LEOPARDS FEED AND PLAY

A leopard had been spotted in the western part of Ngala. We headed out to hopefully view it. The leopard  is one of the most mysterious and beautiful animals.

On our arrival, we found the female. Spending a bit of time with her, we discovered that she had a kill in the area. We sat watching her and before long, her little 9 month old cub popped out wanting to feed. The cub was soon out and about playing, chasing mom’s tail and grooming.

The two chased each other up and down a small drainage line, and eventually came to rest in the sand, where the cub cuddled snugly up against mom.
