Grumeti Serengeti Tented Camp consists of ten delightful tents tucked away in the extraordinary Serengeti National Park - widely seen as the planet's greatest functioning ecosystem. The Grumeti River has some of the world's biggest hippos and Nile Crocodiles. During certain times of year, you have a ring-side seat for the famous great migration.
Leopards Move into Grumeti
We had just finished our bush breakfast, and were on our way back to the plain. It was then when we spotted a Leopard up in the tree west of Kanyanja with a Baboon. He was quite relaxed with his meal and just enjoyed the cool morning.
The guests had a fantastic time photographing this illusive creature we had been searching for, for days. Leopard are becoming a frequent sight here in Grumeti, mostly due to the fact that Elephants are pushing down a lot of trees, and this changes the leopard's habitat. Thus the leopards have moved away from these areas into the Grumeti, much to the delight of our guests!
