Kirkman's Kamp
Kirkman's Kamp, with its spectacular views of the unspoilt wilderness and the Sabi Sand River, is regarded as one of the best loved lodges in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. A well known historic camp, originally built in the early 1920's Kirkmans Kamp celebrates the atmosphere of an early South African lowveld homestead.

Lion hunt
We set out looking for lions this morning, when someone reported lions roaring not to far away. While we where on our way into the area, we found a lioness stalking a fairly large heard of impala. She stalked very carefully and managed to get within twenty meters of the impala. All the sudden our tracker Elvis spotted another lioness stalking the impala from the other side. The impala started smelling something, and than alarm calling, but they looked in all directions, and did not know where the smell was coming from. All the sudden the impala started running towards one of the lionesses. She than charged into the middle of the impala herd and missed one by an inch. The impala had not seen the other lioness yet, that started stalking them from behind again. The lioness sprinted out, towards the impala, that where now between the lionesses. The other lioness joined in, again so close, but missed. It was very exciting to watch this interaction, and the impala managed to live another day
