Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge is sheltered in a forest of wild palms and fig trees and flanked by the papyrus-rich channels of the Okavango Delta. The sensitively designed lodge witnesses the ever-changing moods of the Delta, from wintry oasis to rainy rejuvenation.
LION KILL
On our afternoon game drive we noticed a Tsessebe behaving strangely in the middle of an open area, we continued watching and noticed some baboons in the area and all of them were looking in a similar direction. After a while two kudu bulls walked into the same area and started to bark with alarm. We decided to have a closer look and found what the cause of all the attention was. Underneath some bush lay two male lions on a wildebeest that they had managed to kill in open area during the early hours of the morning. We know this from the tracks that we found and where they dragged the kill into the bush.
